TERMS OF REFERENCE
 
  1. Advise on compilation of occupational health statistics by Industrial Plants Safety Division of the AERB of DAE employees engaged in the activities covered under the Atomic Energy (Factories) Rules, 1996 under the Factories Act, 1948 and the Atomic Energy (Radiation Protection) Rules, 2004 under the Atomic Energy Act, 1962.

  2. Analysis of the occupational health record as compiled by AERB of the employees working in the Department of Atomic Energy units and covered under the provisions of the Atomic Energy (Factories) Rules, 1996 and the Atomic Energy (Radiation Protection) Rules, 2004.

  3. Review of the implementation of the necessary provisions with regard to all the statutory requirements with respect to occupational health of the employees in DAE units and recommend measures necessary to ensure health of the workers.

  4. Identify requirements in each unit with respect to infrastructure required for the occupational health activities including medical officers as well as appropriate facilities.

  5. Inform AERB of any observed case of occupational disease.

  6. Organise training programmes to acquaint the medical officers in DAE units, in the occupational health related areas.

  7. Suggest ways to improve occupational health activities in DAE units.

  8. Opine on any other matter related to occupational health.
