TERMS
OF REFERENCE |
-
To
review the applications seeking regulatory consents for
the project stages of siting, construction and commissioning
along with documents/reports submitted by the Responsible
Organisation for the project and the recommendation reports
of respective Site Evaluation Committee/Project Design
Safety Committee and Committee to Review Security Aspects
of Nuclear Facilities. The reviews are to be conducted
based on safety requirements specified in AERB Codes &
Guides, current IAEA & international documents, as
applicable.

To
submit recommendations to Chairman, AERB for issue of
consents/clearanceswith observations/suggestions/stipulations,
if any, at the major project stages or intermediate stages,
as identified by AERB.

To
advise AERB on R&D activities that might be required
for long term infrastructural support for safe design
and operation of LWR systems.
- To
review any other relevant safety issues considered appropriate
by the Committee and those referred to the committee by
Chairman, AERB.

| Note:
ACPSR-LWR-2 will perform reviews of all Light Water Reactor
Projects other than Kudankulam NPP 1&2. |
